I know Mexico has been riddled with fear of Cartel, and Narcos.

Teocaltiche has been no exception in the past.

This town is recovering after a number of years under cartel rule. Even though the cartel have left long ago the fear continues, and so you must follow these town rules:

- Do not call attention to yourself

- Respect your surroundings

- Do not drive out of the town at night (after 7pm)

You will be arriving at the small Aguascalientes International Airport (AGU) and find a easy-to-navigate signage for the several on-site car rental agencies located in the arrivals area. The drive to Teocaltiche, Jalisco is straightforward and takes approximately 45 minutes to an hour, offering a scenic route through the beautiful Los Altos region.

✈️ Car Rentals: Major rental companies are available at the airport. Reserving a vehicle in advance is recommended.

🚗 Drive Time: Teocaltiche is about 55-60 miles (85-100 km) from the airport.
